19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized the Russian player secured his initial title for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and eventually splitting with long-term trainer Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's initial trophy after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court since spring of that year.
Success also means the Russian has secured 21 championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
His defensive play style and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted observers to doubt if his ability to perform at the highest level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and play aggressively, supported by an improved serve.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped break points in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional championship, took control to push for a decider.
Moutet defended four initial break points in a tight final set before the champion secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner earned victory with a shot at the net, with Moutet incapable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
